Priority Ambulance Documentation Training

Date:
Thursday, June 21, 2018

Priority Ambulance is hosting Documentation Skills Training on 6/21/2018 from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Central EMS Training Center, 205 Humbree Park Drive, Ste. 100 in Roswell, Georgia.  Doug Wolfberg will be the featured speaker.  Registration information will be posted as soon as it is available.

Using actual legal case studies where documentation issues were center stage, this seminar will explore the relationship between documentation and EMS provider liability. Doug will get to the “root cause” of what causes “bad documentation” and provide practical tips on how to improve not just your field documentation skills, but your overall approach to patient care as well! This seminar will also review the critical documentation skills that EMS providers must master to support the level of detail required for this new world of ICD-10 coding, including how to improve documentation specificity, laterality, history and other critical aspects of documentation.  Doug will also cover the hot topic of patient privacy under HIPAA, and the unique problems for EMS agencies and field providers when it comes to using digital imaging devices and social media.
